The Cabinet presents Hogmanay New Year with a tartan theme fancy dress. Some item of tartan must be worn. See the menu. Food served from 6pm to 9pm.

The famous 16th century inn sits between Hertford and Cambridge off the A10 in the beautiful village of Reed, within an easy travelling distance of London. The old girl is now being run as a joint venture between Tracey Hale and Angus Martin.

The intention is to offer proper dining and drinking in an informal setting, for a glass of good wine with a snack maybe through to a full lunch or dinner.

The menu is an eclectic mix, based on personal taste and sound cooking techniques rather than any particular country’s cuisine. A unifying feature is a core of excellent ingredients local when feasible and carefully chosen. There is no dress code or similar pomposity.

We also offer a bespoke wedding and party service in The Cabinet's beautiful grounds.

Thank you for visiting. Please find out more!
